2010 · The beginning

The mountain of paperwork that started it all.

Ascora was born out of the needs voiced by trade businesses who were swamped by more paperwork the more they grew.

Back in 2010, Courtney Smith, the co-founder and CEO of Ascora, was running a custom software company specialising in business systems. He was approached by trade businesses one after another to build software that would alleviate the mountain of paperwork, communication issues and invoicing problems they experienced while running their trade businesses.

Amelia Smith, the co-founder and COO of Ascora, designed and implemented the core processes and organisational structure that transformed Ascora from a growing startup into a scalable, high-performing company poised for long-term success.

It is in both founders' DNA to ensure no shortcut is taken. Everything inside Ascora uses best practices in the software world while achieving maximum automation and systemisation for the trade businesses who use it — substantially alleviating their paperwork while accelerating the pace of their operations from enquiry through to taking payments. Combining Courtney's genius for software and Amelia's transformative vision with extensive input from real trade businesses, Ascora was born.

2012 · Launch

Cloud-first, mobile-native — from day one.

Forward-thinking from the start, Ascora was built with the cloud in mind, combined with powerful native iOS and Android apps. With continuous planning, development, testing and deployment across web, iOS and Android, Ascora launched to the public in 2012 — and the rest is history.

Today, Ascora has expanded globally — helping trades across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
